United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is responsible for safeguarding agriculture and natural resources from the risks associated with the entry, establishment, or spread of animal and plant pests and noxious weeds. The following links are provided for your guidance:
Phytosanitary Certificate Issuance & Tracking System (PCIT)
PCIT system tracks the inspection of agricultural products and certifies compliance with plant health standards of importing countries. This capability provides APHIS/PPQ better security, reporting functions, and monitoring capabilities for exported commodities. PCIT is used to create phytosanitary certificates. To obtain a secure login for your company, please contact USDA Export Certification Specialist at (661)391-1743.
Phytosanitary Export Database (PExD) System
PExD contains the most current phytosanitary export requirements of U.S.-origin commodities to foreign countries and should be used when creating phytosanitary certificates. The above link allows you to view the database without first getting access to the PCIT system, but some documents will not be viewable. To get full access to the PExD, you must first get access to the PCIT System and then access the PExD database after signing in.
USDA Export Program Manual
The export program manual provides guidelines for export certification, when using PCIT and PExD.
